About the Artist: Melinda Edstein is a Sydney based botanical artist, who creates pictures with coloured pencils. Her journey began in 2008, with classes here at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney. She has since exhibited in Australia and internationally. Botanic art allows Melinda to combine her loves of science, art, and nature. She can portray depth and detail not necessarily visible in photography. Melinda is one of our Botanica Exhibition artists.
About the Cultivate Exhibition: Our online gallery features work for sale as part of a preview of our new spring exhibition Cultivate. This exhibition is all about strengthening our existing relationships with artists and will be a celebration of our exhibitions, showcasing the very best, with favourites from Botanica, Wild Thing, Harvest, Artisans in the Gardens, PLANTS and Treecyle exhibiting in October. This treasury of art allows you to explore the beautiful connection of art to our gardens. Proceeds are split between the artist and Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens and helps continue our support of science, conservation, education and horticulture.
