Palm Grove, Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney The Palm Grove is a recurrent motif in the artist’s oeuvre, being the initial site, he documented in situ as a plein air landscape painter. Throughout the past four decades, it has remained a constant source of inspiration for its botanical diversity, complex structures, florescences and interplay of light filtering through the canopy of foliage, particularly at midday.
